Mondays and Fridays - Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga classes are a blend of calming or cleansing breathwork, classic poses and deep stretches to relax your body and release your mind. Class tempo can be slow and deep or more dynamic depending on the mood of the students! In these classes expect to build endurance, flexibility, stability and concentration as you delve into the practice. You will conclude your practice with a luxurious rest pose at the end (called Savasana -pronounced Sha-vas-a-na) Come prepared to move, breathe and learn something new.
Wednesdays - Yoga Shred
Yoga Shred Inspired classes; the first program to blend yoga mindfulness with HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) it's fierce, fun and empowering!
Yoga Shred - what is it?
These classes are a unique blend of yoga and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). HIIT activates your fast twitch muscle fibres which yoga does not, these tighten and tone your body. HIIT optimises your cardio capacity which means increase fitness and heart health. Yoga Shreds are yoga inspired versions of original HIIT forms, so you will recognise familiar poses such as downward facing dog, plank and chair pose - but with a twist!
What is a Yoga Shred class like?
Yoga Shred classes begin in the yoga style, including a centering and pranayama practice to boost your mindfulness followed by yoga flows to gently warm your body. When warm you will then move into the Yoga Shred portion of the class, this is when you will work to your body's ability for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds for no longer than 4 minutes per Shred. Classes always finish with a restorative pose and well earned savasana to encourage your body rebalance as you rest. Come prepared to sweat, breathe fast and feel incredible. You might want to bring a bottle of water for this one!
